At Read With Little Dog™, we believe stories can be soft landings, healing hands, and joyful sparks. We're a small creative studio nestled under the oaks—led by a storyteller who knows that big feelings sometimes come wrapped in small paws.

Little Dog, a gentle King Charles Cavalier Spaniel with long floppy ears and big soulful eyes, is the heart of our stories. He doesn’t speak with words—but his feelings are clear, tender, and true. Through quiet moments of comfort, loss, and love, Little Dog helps children understand emotions they don’t always have the words for.

We create heartfelt books and resources that help children (and the grown-ups who love them) navigate grief, change, and the messy middle of life with gentleness, humor, and hope.

But comfort isn’t the only thing stories can offer.
Sometimes they offer courage—and a good old-fashioned mystery.

Led by Leon Beaglegard—a determined, big-hearted beagle from Cypress Parish—and his band of four-legged sleuths, the Mystery Dogs of History™ uncover clues buried in time. These adventures blend real-world history with paw-scratching puzzles, coded messages, unlikely heroes, and just the right dash of Southern charm and canine wit.

Each book invites readers into a world where bravery can be quiet, cleverness comes in many coats, and history isn’t something boring in a textbook—it’s something you can sniff out yourself.

Whether it’s comforting a hurting heart or cracking a centuries-old case, our stories remind kids (and the grown-ups reading with them) that:
